Scor Tech department (~200 employees across the globe) provides products, services, and support to all SCOR Group worldwide. Its 2 key challenges today are to successfully implement its new Target Operating Model (TOM), to be supported by an ambitious pluri-annual internalization plan to deliver innovative products and services to its clients.
The Tech & Data organization is an Agile matricial organization relying on 4 pillars:
- Data and System Engineering, made of the following teams : Data Center of Excellence, Products and Systems Engineering and Enterprise Architecture
- Management & Control (M&C) & Corporate Systems, made of teams supporting Crews and Transversal Functional Domains: Governance, T&D Operating Model Implementation, Security & Compliance, Financial Control, Sourcing & Vendor Management, Governance, and Processes
- Technical, made of teams dedicated to IT Operations, Network, Cloud, Workplace & Cloud Productivity Services
- Crews and Transversal Functional Domains
Crews are supported by Chapters (System Engineering, Architecture, DevOps, ...) and both Technical and M&C-C teams are fully dedicated to the delivery of SCOR products, services and support.
This position is attached to the Financial Production crew.
Within that crew, the Data Integration Platform (DIP) is a key element of the value-chain which hosts Finance Data and operation for all SCOR businesses (L&H, P&C and investment). It is a data integration platform based on IBM IAS technology which purpose is to centralize in a transversally consistent and secured way all the reinsurance technical information produced by the different tools involved in the chain.
This platform aggregates the results produced by the various systems, ensures a minimum level of reconciliation between them but, more than a simple data warehouse, it offers quality control services on the loading, orchestration, historization, cartography and provide the Business teams with strong reporting capabilities.
The DIP Finance Tech Lead is accountable of the consistency of technical solution implemented on the platform and coordinate the version upgrades of technical components.
- Participates in the solution's technical design with the Solution Architect and is responsible for the proper application of IT guidelines.
- Oversees and can contribute to developments to ensure their quality and consistency and helps the development team to increase their competence in the technologies involved by providing ad-hoc expertise when needed.
- Defines infrastructure resources and deployment logic along with the architects and the DevOps and Cloud CoE.
- Solicits / involves developers in technical and architectural orientations
- Works closely with the Product Owner to help steering the Squad backlog, particularly regarding prioritization against complexity.

- You coordinate technical design across squads of the platform.
- You identify potential risks, monitor existing issues and put in place the appropriate mitigation plan.
Design/Implementation/Delivery/Run...
- You have strong technical skills on Java/Angular and SQL.
- You guarantee the transversal solution design to ensure solution consistency.
- You identify the non-functional User Stories and make them prioritized by the PO.
- You monitor versions and organize upgrades to avoid issues due to deprecated components.
- You oversee and contribute to developments.
- You help the development team to increase their competences.
- You participate to infrastructure resources definition and deployment logic along with the Solution Architects and the DevOps and Cloud CoE. .
- You define and monitor the most appropriate technical monitoring procedure for the platform services and the corresponding KPI's.
- You define and monitor the implementation of the continuous integration and delivery pipeline and corresponding KPI's.
Testing...
- You define and monitor the unit test strategy and corresponding KPI's.
You define and monitor with the support of the test lead the performance testing activities.
Required experience & competencies
Experience
- +5 years of work experience in a similar role, preferably within the (re)insurance sector, as part of a financial services company or similar organization
- Relevant additional management certification may be required + 5 years of (full stack) coding experience and a proven track record of successful technical oriented team management as part of an international organization
Hard skills
- Strong experience of Business & IT agile ways of working
- Strong expertise in software architecture and development lifecycle, managing the solution's technical direction with a constant attention to performance to deal with very volume of data
- Strong expertise in Java and SQL, to contribute to developments
- Strong expertise in software testing, developing, automate testing processes and then improving team and system efficiency
- Strong leadership, guiding the rest of the team regarding the product's technical aspects
- Understanding of documented IT guidelines when working in a large organization
- High curiosity about technology / coding innovation
- Fluent in English (written, spoken)

Required Education
- BA/MD technical degree in information services management, computer science, applied mathematics or related fields, or equivalent work experience
