Requirements

For our business partner, one of the largest integrators of IT and physical security solutions for national and European critical infrastructure, we are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join their growing team.

This role is focused on ensuring the stability, performance, and quality of web and API-based applications through robust test automation practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and maintain automated test suites, contributing to the reliability of systems that support mission-critical operations.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bucharest.

Requirements

2–3 years of experience in test automation
Strong knowledge of automated testing tools (Cypress, Selenium, Playwright)
Experience with API automation (REST Assured, Postman collections + Newman)
Solid understanding of React front-end testing (DOM structure, component behaviour)
Proficiency with SQL databases for data validation and manipulation
Experience with test management tools (TestRail, Test Link)
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems (Git)
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have

Experience writing automated tests in JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Python
Knowledge of performance testing (JMeter) or API contract testing (Postman)
Familiarity with React Testing Library
Basic knowledge of Docker or containerized test environments
Experience with test reporting tools (Allure, Extent Reports)

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Design and maintain automated test scripts for UI (React) and API (REST) testing
Use tools such as Cypress, Playwright, and Selenium
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub)
Perform API testing using Postman and related tools
Write and execute SQL queries on Oracle databases for test data setup and validation
Collaborate with developers to identify, reproduce, and validate defects and bug fixes
Track and manage test cases and results using tools like TestRail or Test Link
Contribute to test strategy and framework improvements
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
