Requirements

We’re looking for a Cloud DevOps Engineer (GCP) to join our business partner, a leading international retailer with a bold tech vision. AI, Machine Learning, Cloud, and Cybersecurity are not just trends here — they’re core pillars of the business. As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you’ll work in an agile product team that owns and operates its own infrastructure on GCP. You’ll build scalable systems using Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, Kubernetes, Helm, and GitOps tools like Flux and Flagger — all in a cloud-native, collaborative, and impact-driven environment.

Location: Bucharest
Work setup: Hybrid, 1–2 days/week on-site (flexible)

Must-Haves

3–5+ years in DevOps or cloud engineering
Strong hands-on experience with GCP (GKE, Cloud Run, IAM, VPC, DNS, Load Balancing, Secret Manager)
Proficiency in Terraform and GitLab CI/CD
Solid Kubernetes knowledge (networking, ingress, RBAC, operators, storage)
Scripting skills (Shell, Bash; Golang is a bonus)
Familiarity with observability tools (Datadog, GCP Monitoring/Logging)
Fluent English (German is a plus)

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Build, operate, and evolve team-owned infrastructure on GCP
Implement and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and centrally managed modules
Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines via GitLab CI/CD
Administer Kubernetes resources (deployments, RBAC, networking, policies, upgrades)
Manage Helm releases and integrate core platform components (logging, secrets, IAM, VPC, DNS)
Apply secure defaults across IAM, secrets, TLS, and network policies
Support day-to-day operations: incident response, infrastructure maintenance, performance analysis
Collaborate with the centralized platform team to align on shared modules and policies
