Requirements

On behalf of our client—an established eCommerce leader headquartered in Germany with a global footprint and a forward-thinking digital strategy—we are seeking a Senior SAP MM Functional Consultant – Retail & S/4HANA Transformation to join their international team based in Bucharest.

Main responsibilities:

Lead and implement SAP MM projects and change requests in procurement and inventory management.
Provide functional support across:
- Direct and indirect purchasing (Coffee, Non-Food, Services)
- Inventory management and valuation

Govern and optimize standard MM processes with a Clean Core approach, making well-founded decisions between standard vs. enhancement.
Design and optimize process flows using modern technologies, including Fiori, APIs, and event-driven architecture.
Collaborate with SAP and peer organizations to align on innovations and best practices.
Contribute to the ongoing transformation of the IT landscape and expansion of SAP S/4HANA capabilities.

Responsibilities

Your profile:

University degree in IT or a related field.
Several years of hands-on experience in SAP MM, with end-to-end expertise in P2P, inventory valuation, and supplier management.
Familiarity with SAP QM and integration with non-SAP systems is a plus.
Strong understanding of Clean Core principles, API-based integration, and role/authorization concepts.
Proven experience in process analysis, SAP configuration, and go-live support.
Technical affinity: Fiori UX and basic ABAP knowledge for design validation (no development required).
Excellent analytical and conceptual skills.
Fluent English communication.
Availability for hybrid work: 2 days/week on-site in Bucharest.
