Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Engineer (French Speaking) to join a leading engineering firm based in Bucharest, part of an international group delivering complex infrastructure and industrial projects across Europe. With a strong focus on sectors such as water treatment, civil works, hydraulics, energy, and automation, the company offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects and collaborate with expert teams using advanced digital tools.

Requirements

Technical university degree
Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, including in a similar role
Strong knowledge of technical specifications and industrial equipment
Advanced proficiency in French (written and spoken) – mandatory
Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Excellent negotiation, communication, and planning skills
Strong sense of initiative and teamwork

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain a network of supplier contacts
Conduct market analysis and supplier research
Launch supplier consultations and manage procurement dossiers
Select suppliers based on technical and commercial criteria
Negotiate contracts for equipment, products, and services
Analyze supplier offers and ensure alignment with technical specifications
Participate in bid preparation and project execution teams
Maintain and update supplier databases and product/service catalogs
Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement plans
Manage procurement budgets and ensure cost optimization
Resolve non-conformities related to deliveries or services
Ensure compliance with internal procedures and contractual obligations
Prepare procurement schedules aligned with project deadlines
Draft activity reports and maintain accurate procurement records
