The Mission

Deliver and maintain ING Hubs Romania's Internal Applications Platform (aka IAP).

The IAP is a platform developed internally for ING engineers who wants to address business problems with the purpose of expanding ING engineering culture and facilitate innovation.

Your day to day

Even if you'll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office's garden, your day will be quite similar when comes to tasks. Here are your daily responsibilities:

• Being part of an end-to-end development process. You design, develop, test and deploy new features;

• Support the applications in production environment that are under your team's portfolio;

• Work in close cooperation with stakeholders, but also with other teams on common software components that aid the developed APIs;

• Create and keep up to date required documentation related to all systems/ solutions in your area of responsibility;

• Understanding and monitoring the entire stack's technology on which the application runs;

• Write well designed testable, efficient code in a Java 11 or upper versions;

• Develop new microservices and offer support for other squads to integrate them with the team assets;

• Investigate and give resolutions for defects (in test, acceptance or production environments);

• Brainstorm with the team over continuous improvements of the development process.

What you'll bring to the team

• Experience: 0-3 years of experience as an Java Engineer;

• Tech stack/ knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Java, Scala, Kotlin, SpringBoot and Oracle DB;

  • Nice to have: C#, docker, mfa/adfs/saml, ansible, Azure DevOps, nginx;

• Foreign languages: English (advanced);

• Education: nice to have Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in an IT related field.
