Requirements

Are you a Senior Java Engineer with a knack for service architecture, hands-on Java expertise, and a sharp problem-solving mindset?

We’re hiring on behalf of our partner, Romania’s leading business ecosystem for invoicing, inventory, and accounting, to expand their software team and drive the next wave of innovation.

Their products are mature, widely adopted, and constantly evolving, with a growing user base and a strong reputation for quality. Now, they’re assembling a high-caliber engineering team to architect the future of financial tech.

This is a remote-first role, with occasional travel to Sibiu for team alignment and collaboration.

What We’re Looking For:

Technical Expertise: You bring 5+ years of hands-on experience in Development, ideally within the Java ecosystem (Java EE / Jakarta EE), and you're confident in frontend technologies as a full-stack developer. You’re comfortable working with PostgreSQL, Linux, AWS, and GitHub.
Architectural Skills: You’ve designed complex, scalable systems—preferably from the ground up—and you naturally think in terms of APIs, modularity, and cloud-native principles.
Code Quality Champion: You value clean, maintainable code, embrace automated testing, and actively avoid technical debt.
AI Curiosity: You’re genuinely interested in AI and have explored or integrated services based on language models or other ML technologies.
Proactive Mindset: You take full ownership of your work, from ideation to deployment, and thrive in a fast-moving, ambitious environment.
Product-Oriented Thinking: You always keep the end user in mind and care deeply about delivering value through every feature you build.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

Architect and develop a scalable software platform to support next-generation intelligent solutions
Lead the creation of a high-quality MVP, establishing a solid technical foundation with minimal technical debt
Collaborate closely with Product Management to turn customer needs into elegant, technically sound features
Define technical standards and best practices for the engineering team being assembled for this initiative
Ensure secure, performant, and reliable cloud-based deployments in alignment with modern DevOps practices
Conduct technical reviews and provide hands-on support across the development lifecycle to maintain high engineering standards
Contribute to maintaining and increasing the performance of existing applications
Work in a dynamic industry that requires constant adaptation and compliance
Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
