Our History

AECOM launched when a handful of employees from design and engineering companies shared a dream of creating an industry-leading firm dedicated to delivering a better world.

We became an independent company formed by the merger of five entities. While our official founding was in 1990, many of our predecessor firms had distinguished histories dating back more than 120 years.

Requirements

Here’s what we’re looking for:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in T&D primary circuit design and project management, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Proficiency in engineering software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Microstation).
- Strong understanding of primary circuit design principles, including substation design, overhead lines, and underground cables.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and resource management.
- Experience with high-voltage primary circuit projects.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, AS).
- Effective communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Here is what you will do:

Project Leadership:

- Lead a team of engineers and technicians in the design and execution of primary circuit projects.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including project managers, contractors, and regulatory agencies, to ensure project success.

Design and Engineering:

- Oversee the development of primary circuit designs, including substation layouts, overhead lines, and underground cables.
- Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to optimize primary circuit designs for efficiency and reliability.

System Analysis and Optimization:

- Perform power system studies, such as load flow analysis, fault analysis, and protection coordination studies, identify opportunities for system improvements and efficiency enhancements.

Technical Expertise:

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in primary circuit design and engineering.

Field Support and Troubleshooting:

- Provide on-site support during construction, commissioning, and maintenance activities in case is required.

Documentation and Reporting:

- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, project reports, and status updates.
- Ensure accurate documentation of primary circuit designs, modifications, and as-built drawings.
