Our History

AECOM launched when a handful of employees from design and engineering companies shared a dream of creating an industry-leading firm dedicated to delivering a better world.

We became an independent company formed by the merger of five entities. While our official founding was in 1990, many of our predecessor firms had distinguished histories dating back more than 120 years.

Since then, more than 50 companies have joined us and, in 2007, we became a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange.

Requirements

Here’s what we’re looking for:

- Bachelor’s degree in electrical / Automation Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical design, preferably for industrial projects, for international clients
- Familiarity with engineering modeling/drafting software.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

Preferred:

- Experience with Revit MEP and/or AutoCAD 3D
- Understanding of Common Data Environment platforms (e.g., BIM 360, ACC).
- Exposure to clash detection software.
- Basic knowledge of BIM coordination processes.

Responsibilities

Here is what you will do:

- Electrical Installations Design: Contribute to the design and planning of electrical systems for a variety of projects, including buildings, water treatment stations, oil & gas and other industrial facilities.
- Electrical Calculations: Perform essential electrical calculations for systems such as lighting, power distribution, and emergency power systems under supervision.
- I&C Deliverables: I/O Lists, Instrument Lists, Instrument Location Plans, Instrument Specifications and Data Sheets, Cabinet Wiring Diagrams.
- 3D BIM Modeling: Assist in creating 3D BIM models using Revit, ensuring all designs meet required standards.
- Technical Input: Provide technical input on studies and design tasks related to electrical engineering, P&IDs, with guidance from senior engineers.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Participate in team reviews and contribute to the integration of various engineering disciplines into comprehensive project designs.
- Quality Assurance: Support the review and quality control of electrical design documents, drawings, and calculations.
- Technical Specifications: Assist in preparing technical specification for electrical / I&C systems elements.
