Responsibilities

Société Générale Global Solution Centre (SG GSC) acts as a business solutions centre for Société Générale, one of the largest European financial groups.

Global Banking Technology & Operations (GBTO) is the corporate and investment banking branch of Société Générale Group. The information technology departments of GBTO provide in house software solutions and vendor systems integration to support operational process and secure business growth..

Bucharest hub was created in 2015 as a near shore solution for main European hubs Paris & London. It covers mainly pre-trade software for Equities & Equity Derivatives business line.

As a Business Analyst of the SLP B2B BA team (business analysts’ team for sales tools on equity derivatives desks) you will be managing a wide range of products from vanilla to structured products, covering sales negotiation workflow starting from capturing client request to booking in deal processing system.

·       Discuss, understand, and document client business requirements on different project initiatives/applications features in a complex and dynamic system (Exotic Products Chain) covering multiple applications in the perimeter;

·       Collaborate with stakeholders and product owner on task prioritization;

·       Write clear acceptance criteria, functional and technical documentation;

·       Create user stories and participate in the testing phases to validate the deliveries before production release;

·       Maintain a close relationship with development team and ensure the delivery of high quality features.

·       Show flexibility and availability on covering multiple applications and switching from one to another when it is required.

·       Provide L3 support on applications in Production environment;

·       Drive innovation and contribute with new ideas for the existing architecture, services and processes;

Profile required

Skills and Qualifications:
•    Curiosity and Environment Awareness: You should have a solid understanding of your development environment, including how investment banking operates, the mechanics of buying and selling in the market and a deep understanding of equity derivatives.
•    Problem-Solving Mindset: Your problem-solving abilities will be tested daily. We value a strong mindset and initiative just as much as technical and functional skills.
•    Initiative and Maturity: Demonstrating these qualities will set you apart and get our attention.
•    Resilience  and agile mind :  You should have always and open mind and onboard on new activities other than current existing expertise; be able to adapt to different contexts, settings and changing working situations
•    Have a keen eye for details

Key Skills Required:
•    Experience: A minimum of 4 years as a Business Analyst in Investment Banking – must have
•    Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•    Technical skills: Database SQL knowledge, understanding of APIs in a micro-service architecture
•    Client Focus: Orientation towards client satisfaction, with the ability to learn quickly and perform under high pressure.
•    Team Orientation: Be adaptable, team-oriented, and capable of thriving in a changing environment.
Languages: 
•    English : very good command of English, both written and spoken  (participate in English-only meetings)
•    French : will be a plus
