By joining our project, you will be working on an initiative of the European Commission focused on creating a more efficient, modern and secure customs environment within the European Union. Being part of this initiative set on a 5 years’ timeline, you will have the opportunity to work on topics such as digitalization of customs processes, streamlining customs procedures to facilitate trade and reduce costs, harmonization of customs rules across all EU member states and combating fraud.

What You’ll Be Doing
 

• Ensuring the seamless operation of monitoring solutions in a 24x7 enterprise production environment.
• Overseeing the architecture, implementation, and administration of monitoring tools to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Operating, administering, and integrating supervisory solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, MS SCOM, Nagios, and Icinga.
• Collaborating with operations teams and developers to collect and refine monitoring requirements.
• Identifying, analyzing, and testing system management enhancements or bug fixes.
• Providing administrative support for configuring and maintaining monitoring tools.
• Developing documentation and formalizing procedures for server and application operations.
  
   

What You’ll Bring Along
 

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a similar role
• Expertise in administering and implementing monitoring solutions.
• Strong understanding of monitoring event management principles.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix systems; Windows knowledge is a plus.
• Programming/scripting abilities in Python, Shell (ksh, bash), and PowerShell (preferred).
• Experience with Nagios or Icinga.
• Solid grasp of network fundamentals.
• ITIL certification or relevant experience.
• Familiarity with IT Infrastructure.
• Exposure to DevOps environments and Continuous Deployment practices.
• Experience with VMware vROPS
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English
