    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s or associate degree in Finance, Accounting, or in a related specialization.
    • At least 3 years’ experience in Taxes and General Ledger Accounting, or similar.
    • In-depth knowledge of Tax regulations and accounting standards.
    • Exceptional attention to detail.
    • Time-management and organizational skills.
    • Problem-solving skills
    • Communication skills
    • Working experience in an international environment
    • US GAAP/IFRS knowledge recommended.
    • Digital skills: Good Microsoft Office Suite knowledge
    • Fluent in English is mandatory.
    • SAP experience is recommended.

    Responsibilities

    • Support proper document flow to ensure tax and accounting compliance to local statutory requirements.
    • Check and provide sign off for the VAT, corporate income tax, and other statutory tax returns in compliance with local regulations.
    • Support tax audits and liaise with tax authorities as needed.
    • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the business.
    • Assist with transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions.
    • Prepare monthly journal entries relating to amortization, depreciation, accruals, and a variety of other information, as well as preparing reports. Ensure that entries align with generally accepted accounting principles and the right Tax treatment.
    • Performing account analysis to ensure that journal entries (also from Tax perspective) and balances are correct.
    • Reconciling accounts with the general ledger to ensure that all entries are accurate and that transactions are reported in accordance with accounting standards and government regulations.
    • Maintain detailed listings of the contents of all balance sheet accounts.
    • Review journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded correctly in both statutory and US GAAP books.
    • Ensuring that financial information complies with professional and regulatory standards.
    • Performing audits on financial data to assure its accuracy and truthfulness.
    • Support Monthly and Annual Close Processes.
    • Collaborating with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial information.
    • Aligning general ledger accounting practices to support budgeting and forecasting.
    • Assist auditors with journal entry examinations.
    • Assist in the production of financial statements.
    • Coordinates together with Head of Accounting and Tax in relation with external auditors and the timely and complete response to external audit requirements
    • Assists in implementation of SAP modules for Romanian operation, for Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and connection to Procurement module.
    • Contribute to company's accounting, tax, and general policies.
