As a Simulation Engineer within Schaeffler Sibiu, you will specialize in creating and validating dynamic models that drive innovation in automotive design, performance, and safety.

• Electro-thermal as well as structural mechanic analysis of power-electronic components, such as inverter, DCDC, onboard-charger, HV-box, etc. by means of well-known 3D-FEA-simulationtools
• Thermal and fluid mechanic assessment of the cooling channel of the above-mentioned components regarding pressure losses as well as heat dissipation by using 3D-CFD/CHT-simulation programs
• Identification of weak points and derivation of proposals for improvement as well as derivation of design rules for the requesting internal customers
• Presentation and explanation of the results in the project teams
• Validation of the numerical results by comparison with available measurement data and support in defining appropriate measuring positions
• Participation in continuous improvement of existing simulation processes and development of new methods

• Graduated in a relevant field, i.e. Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering
• Ideally deep knowledge in the field of simulation methods, thermodynamics, or structural mechanics
• Independent and structured way of working, high commitment, flexibility and resilience, creativity
• Very good communication and teamwork skills
• Very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
• Increased knowledge in the field of numerical simulation
• Tools: Ansys Workbench, Simcenter Flotherm-XT, CFX, Fluent, Matlab/Simulink, ...
• In-depth knowledge of structural mechanics, thermomechanics & fatigue analysis, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics
• Basic knowledge in the field of power electronics
