IT Solutions Engineer for Electronic Simulation Tools

The IT Simulation Team is providing Simulation processes and tools to our internal customers, including internal project leaders, HW engineers and PCB design engineers who develop our future products. Electronic engineering is playing a vital role in enabling innovative and cost efficient product development. We are using the state-of-the-art Electronic Simulation tools. Adaptation to business needs as well as the current and future IT infrastructure is key in gaining benefits from the complex software.

This role will be supporting the Electronic Simulation Team. The IT professional is focusing on providing level 2 user support and processing level 2 operational tasks. In addition the position holder will contribute to maintain and improve the tools application architecture and the internal specific customizations.

• Administration and maintenance of the related systems and applications (e.g. configuration and upgrades of systems, license management, user rights administration, system performance monitoring, change management).
• Preparation, development, and optimization of electronic simulation workflows.
• Development and analysis of use cases and processes to optimize the utilization of business tools.
• Development of strategies to optimize the system landscape. This task includes the preparation and presentation of these strategies to management and other stakeholder groups.

• Participation in IT projects in collaboration with the Business Units to optimize services, processes and tools.
• Configuration of applications for the Schaeffler environment.
• Configuration and adaption of existing and new tool interfaces.
• Support users in terms of installation, operation and incidents handling.

• University degree in computer science, electrical engineering or similar.
• 3 years of work experience desired, preferably in a technical IT environment.
• Knowledge about Electronic Simulation tools (e.g. Cadence PSpice, Synopsys Saber) preferred.
• Knowledge about Ansys desired.
• Knowledge about PowerShell and Visual Basic desired.
• Experience in software distribution, packaging, release management desired.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with strong customer focus.
• Excellent business communication skills in English language.
• Independent working style and team-oriented.
• Willingness to travel internationally on occasion.
