    Role Description:

    The Regulatory Reporting PMO Manager is responsible for overseeing the Project Management Office (PMO) functions within a Portfolio. This role ensures that all projects are managed efficiently, align with strategic goals, and are delivered on time and within budget. The PMO Manager provides governance, support, and strategic direction to project teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

    Role Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

    Governance and Risk Management:

    • Ensures adherence to LSEG Group Standards for governance and risk management, implementing best practices and compliance measures.
    • Collaborates with Portfolio and Delivery Managers to identify, assess, and manage risks within the portfolio.
    • Ensure governance procedures are adhered to by the project managers including all project artefacts maintained throughout the project lifecycle (plans, resourcing profiles, cost plans, benefits schedules, RAID items, Change Requests and status reports) are up to date, accurate and follow Group quality standards.

    Financial Management:

    • Manages the annual investment planning / budget cycle including challenge to benefits cases and business outcomes where not clear
    • Conducts regular financial reviews to track key financial metrics and ensure budget adherence.
    • Support project budget tracking, including actual and forecasted expenditure and accounting for variances
    • Create purchase requisitions as required and ensure all statements of work are support by an approved purchase order

    Dependency Management:

    • Identifies dependencies within the portfolio, including inter-project dependencies and external dependencies.
    • Documents dependencies clearly, maintaining an up-to-date dependency register that is accessible to all stakeholders.

    Resource Management:

    • Monitors and tracks the portfolio pipeline to provide accurate data on resource demand and supply.
    • Works with various partners to forecast resource needs and adjust plans accordingly.
    • Weekly timesheet adherence tracking.
    • Support the delivery resource plan across the project lifecycle, ensuring accurate rate cards are used and placeholder roles are converted to named resources.

    Reporting:

    • Prepares comprehensive portfolio status reports, highlighting progress, major risks, issues, and changes in scope and resources.
    • Distributes reports to management and key stakeholders to keep them informed of portfolio developments.
    • Provide internal communications to all partners across the portfolio celebrating successes
    • Work with the central portfolio team to respond to requests within required timelines

    Portfolio Board Material Preparation and Secretariat Duties:

    • Compiles and prepares the Portfolio board pack, ensuring all necessary documentation and information are included.
    • Acts as the secretariat for portfolio board meetings, organising agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions.

      Change Management

      • Identify change requests that may be needed and ensure these are formally raised and approved

      Portfolio Health Checks

      • Conduct regular portfolio health checks, focussing on completeness, accuracy and quality Process Improvement.
      • Continuously evaluate and improve PMO processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

      Induction and Onboarding:

      • Facilitates the induction process for new joiners, ensuring they are integrated smoothly into the portfolio team.
      • Provides training and orientation sessions to familiarise new team members with portfolio processes and standards.
      • Acts as a point of contact for new joiners, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.

      Required Skills:

      Essential

      • Strong planning, organisational, and coaching skills
      • Critical thinking skills
      • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the proven ability to work effectively with all organisational levels
      • Excellent at managing and influencing a wide network of partners, including senior management, who can influence and build relationships
      • Willing and able to challenge customers and various collaborators to better understand their needs
      • Expert knowledge of financial, risk, and project management methodologies & tools.
      • Understands different approaches to project management (e.g. Agile, Waterfall etc.) and ensures flexibility to deliver and complete within different ways of working.
      • Excellent documentation skills; ability to create high quality steering committee materials
      • More than 5 years of project, programme, or portfolio management experience
