Mechanical Design Engineer

You are responsible for the mechanical design of HV GIS substations, according to customer requirements, prepare the documentation and offer support and technical clarification.

• Develop assemblies and parts (cast, forged, welded) from prototype to series production
• Find solutions as well as timely escalation to project management in case of problems during development.
• Elaborate tolerance analysis ??? chain of tolerance
• Be responsible for product costs, time schedule, technique, product and process quality
• Analyse and evaluate project related risks, including elaboration of risk minimizing and usage of opportunities in working area
• Actively work for process and interface optimization

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering or machines construction technology, or equivalent experience
• Proven experience with a focus on engineering of high voltage switchgear and substations
• Knowledge of HV products, systems, and electrical network
• Knowledge of international technical standards, e.g. IEC, IEEE, EN, Eurocode, ESTI, seismic standards
• Work experience with 3D CAD (CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo, Creo live) and CAE tools (Ansys, Agile)
• Proven record of successful engineering projects
• Business proficient communication in English
• Intercultural experience and willingness for international business trips, especially for training and collaboration with German team
