A snapshot of your day
As a Junior Buyer - RFQ (Request for Quotation), your primary role will be to tactically complete procurement strategies established by Corporate Commodity Management, in alignment with the overall commodity strategy. You will play a key role in supporting internal customers and partners who rely on your timely, clear contributions for their success. Working in a highly motivated, committed team, you'll collaborate closely with colleagues, offering mutual support. Your focus will be on addressing immediate, day-to-day challenges, delivering significant value to both our factories and customers.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.

How You'll Make an Impact
- Collaborate with global and local commodity management teams and manufacturing sites to optimally plan, align, and complete sourcing activities
- Drive supplier relationships by obtaining and comparing multiple quotations for alternative options
- Collect and apply relevant data (e.g., Approved Vendor list, drawings, specifications) to obtain and upload final quotes into the ERP system, ensuring accurate prices, lead times, and supplier part numbers are maintained
- Provide strong support for negotiations by sourcing and communicating the best pricing options from alternative supplier quotations
- Supervise and track purchase requests, creating and updating purchasing information records (PIRs) as needed
- Connect with suppliers regarding order details such as delivery dates and call out risks or issues to relevant collaborators
- Completed studies in business administration, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field
- Several years of professional experience in procurement or purchasing
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, flexible approach to partnership
- Proficiency in English (knowledge of German is an advantage)
- Confident in using SAP (purchasing modules) and standard MS Office applications
- Proven ability to work effectively with colleagues from diverse cultures and backgrounds globally
- Skilled in negotiation and adept at navigating various cultural environments
- Ability to foster collaboration across different organizational units and functions
- Willingness to take on significant responsibility in a growing department with a dynamic, informal, and inspiring work environment
- Availability to work from our Bucharest office 3 days per week, with 2 days remote
