IT Engineer for Cloud Solutions

To support the journey of Vitesco Technologies to become a digital company, we in IT are supporting our business to optimize the value chain and deliver new innovative solutions to our internal organizations and production plants around the world.

As a Data Engineer at our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data pipelines on Cloud and on-premises environment to solve complex business problems.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze large sets of data and develop data-driven solutions that drive business outcomes.

You will be part of a global development and service team which is responsible for applications, data pipelines, cloud infrastructures as well as developing new use cases with our internal stakeholders.

Where your expertise is needed:

• Ability to work in a global collaborative environment is essential;
• Take responsibility within our team to further develop our global solutions in a highly motivated team of architects and experts around cloud services (AWS);
• You are passionate about developing new cloud solutions and can translate the business needs into IT solutions;
• You will be responsible for supporting the operation including design, development, operation, monitoring and incident resolution;
• Be part of an agile development, keep timelines and quality of our solutions.
• Design, implement, and maintain our cloud infrastructure mainly on Amazon Web Services (AWS);
• You will be responsible for supporting the operation of those Cloud Services including design, development, operation, monitoring and incident resolution;
• Create and maintain infrastructure as code and review information security risks;
• Monitor and troubleshoot our cloud infrastructure to ensure that it is performing optimally and meets our service level objectives;
• Implement and maintain security controls to protect our infrastructure and data;
• Continuously improve our cloud infrastructure by evaluating and adopting new technologies and practices.

What we're looking for:

• Academic Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience;
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in IT and/or cloud solutions
• Fluent English is mandatory;
• Experience with AWS Services, cloud development and data pipelining;
• Experience with Linux systems and container technologies;
• Programming skills in common languages like Python or JavaScript;
• Experience or passionate about automation of cloud infrastructure;
• Strong analytical and communication skills and being able to drive results;
• Basic knowledge in Artificial Intelligence is optional;
• Frontend skills (Java-Script Frameworks like Angular) are optional;
• Willingness to travel occasionally for business purposes (<15%).
