British American Tobacco Romania has an exciting opportunity for a Subject Matter Expert in Bucharest

The Subject Matter Expert will be actively involved and support the optimization initiatives in process efficiencies and effectiveness within General Ledger Team.

The Subject Matter Expert will facilitate any system changes being directly involved in UAT and post-implementation ensuring quality and accurate completion of services.

The Subject Matter Expert will also be responsible for sharing standard methodologies, promote a result- oriented and problem-solving approach, monitor and improve KPI results, support and ensure an optimized set of controls is in place.

TYPE OF CONTRACT: Permanent

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Support activities in scope for migration to be moved into shared service, in line with the migration framework and plan cascaded by Project Team
• Contributing to the effective and timely delivery of General Ledger and Fixed Assets activities, including month and year end closure activities, routine journals, provisions, accounts reconciliation ensure all the requests are actioned within the agreed SLA (Service Level Agreement)
• Ad-hoc analyses on balance sheet or P&L accounts for End Markets within their responsibility
• Be responsible for performing monthly and quarterly reconciliations of the balance sheet accounts, according to the existing policies and procedures
• Be responsible for allocating the bank balances on time and in full, as per the existing policies and procedures
• Maintain a well-documented process e.g. through the TLDs or other work instruction
• Be actively involved in UAT sessions (as tester), ensuring the testing is performed as per Business Release timelines (as coordinator of other team members)
• Continuously explore opportunities for process simplification, automation and optimization within General Ledger Team and support the collaboration with BCT, BOC and Project Team
• Raise issues to IT support team, provide required information, lead the UAT and make active follow-up on open tickets (incidents, change requests, waivers);
• Support the Leadership Team and other management roles with ad-hoc analysis and activities to achieve the company's overall objectives.
• Facilitate, for both self and team, opportunities for growing technical and process capabilities (Office suite, SAP usage, Blackline)
• Ensure documentations are up-to-date and complete and align to Group processes per the Business Optimization Centre (BOC);
• Act as First Point of Contact for Knowledge Management initiatives within General Ledger Team and ensure a close collaboration with the peers from other centers.
• Promoter of a team culture where reflective questions and critical thinking are encouraged.
• Ensure the completeness and accuracy of Sox reports delivering 100% compliance.

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience 2-4 years in a relevant role
• Solid knowledge of the General Ledger Transactional end to end processes and Target Operating Model
• Solid SAP, Microsoft Office, Blackline knowledge
