Are you an experienced software engineer with a passion for democratizing data analytics? Do you want to build innovative solutions for financial markets and professionals by leading teams of brilliant, collaborative software engineers? If so, we'd love to talk to you.
The London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is a global leader in financial market infrastructure, with a large and diverse portfolio of data, products and services. In December 2022, we announced a partnership with Microsoft to migrate our data platform and technology infrastructure to Azure, and to co-create new analytics solutions using AzureAI and AzureML.
This is an opportunity to be a founding member of the organization that's delivering much of the latter workstream - building brand-new products that democratize modeling and analytics solutions. We're developing an ecosystem where anyone can use prebuilt analytical models to improve their offerings, and where the model development process is greatly simplified so businesses of all sizes can quickly develop their own models. There is no legacy code here - we're building what our customers need from scratch.
We're hiring experienced software engineers across the stack to help us deliver on this ambitious vision. If you have experience or interest in any of the following areas, we should talk:
Front-end engineering: Ship responsive and fluid UIs that make using our product offerings a delight. Computation Platform: Ship a best-in-class platform that allows for computation of arbitrary workloads at scale Model development: Ship software that speeds up model construction, validation, diagnosis and deployment, including automating Model Risk Management
Key responsibilities:- Write exemplary code, setting standards for code quality, operational posture and SDLC standards
- Deliver state-of-the-art production level FinTech software solutions on the cloud
- Optimize, automate and standardize processes for market-leading Quant models
- Provide technical mentorship and support to junior engineers, helping them make key decisions while learning from their mistakes
- Build a collaborative team environment that prioritizes deployed high-quality software into production predictably
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years software development and deployment, preferably over the full product development lifecycle
- Generalist approach with passion for learning new technologies
- Coding: Advanced Python experience AND at least one more backend language
- Cloud: Azure and/or AWS
- DevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD and Testing Pipelines
