The Team

We are looking for a motivated new colleague, with a passion for sport and a strong focus on betting who can demonstrate critical thinking and has strong communication skills to join our competitive international team in the European sports department.

You will become part of the European sports group within Kambi. Volleyball, handball as well as non-US basketball and ice hockey are main sports you will be trading in this role. You will receive comprehensive training on our products and services as well as our different tools. You will be in daily contact with the different departments within Kambi to ensure having the best product available for our clients.

The position is full time and based in our Bucharest office.

You'll be a great fit for the role if you:

- Have a strong passion for sport
- It is an advantage if you have knowledge of European sports – especially volleyball and/or handball
- Have strong numerical ability
- Are fluent in English - both written and spoken
- Are able to work accurately with great attention to detail
- Have the desire and flexibility to learn and grow in fast-paced environment.
- Are well organized and analytical personality.
- Have the willingness to work on late evening shifts and in weekends/bank holidays.
- A university degree, preferably in an analytical field such as mathematics or statistics.

As a European Sports Trader, your day-to-day work will look like:

- Pre-match trading of the European Sports - mainly non-US basketball, volleyball, handball, and ice hockey as well as various other sports like (but not limited to) water polo, beach volleyball, floorball, field hockey or pesapallo.
- Live trading of various sport events (focus on volleyball and handball).
- Analysing and monitoring risk on different markets.
- Communicate effectively with the different departments within Kambi.
- Delivering the best user experience for customers.

If you are currently living in another city and you decide to relocate to Bucharest, Kambi is offering a generous relocation package. If you are commuting from another city outside Bucharest-Ilfov, we are providing transport expenses up to a certain limit.

Initially, this job requires working from our office in Bucharest. After a period of learning and accommodation, this will develop into a hybrid system, with a minimum of 2 days worked form the office and a maximum of 3 days worked from home.

What else you need to know about this role:

Due to all-year-round calendar sports events, this team is working 40 hours/week, generally from Monday to Sunday. The two rest days fall anytime within the week – you will have 2 rest days per month falling in the actual weekend days, while the other rest days will fall within Monday to Friday.
We can usually accommodate some of the shifts and rest days based on the employee's preference, however there are exceptional cases in which the calendar sport doesn't allow it.
Availability for work during Public Holidays is requested and remunerated with double pay-out.
