Cloud Database Administrator, location: Bucharest; Cluj

Sales Consulting activates on the HR market since 1998, having a national coverage in several areas of expertise: recruiting and selection assessment center HR market mapping/due diligence projects, personnel leasing, payroll.

Sales Consulting has 2 fully operational branches: Cluj-Napoca (also the head-office) and Bucharest.
We are developing various projects (Recruitment, Training and Consultancy) in some of the most varied type of industries:
- AUTOMOTIVE/PRODUCTION/ENGINEERING (Specialists and Middle & Top Management positions)
- OUTSOURCING (BPO/SSC/CC)
- IT & C (C++, C#, .NET, Java, Linux etc)
- FMCG (sales & purchasing positions; all levels)
- PHARMA (all levels)

▪ Proactive maintenance of database systems to ensure integrity, safety, and optimal
performance
▪ Manage database systems, users and security per prescribed processes at a large scale
▪ Create, maintain, and administer cloud databases in a highly available environment
▪ Ensure databases are highly secure, available, and recoverable
▪ Analyze, design and implementation of database migration strategy
▪ setup RDS instance, schema in AWS
▪ Migrate data from on-prem DB using tools (like AWS DMS) and verification of migrated data
▪ Manage DB standards in AWS and preferred experience on other databases like Aurora
▪ Manage the requests for firewall with on-prem servers/database
▪ Manage monitoring and alerting for performance and uptime
▪ Provide database technical support for application development teams
▪ Oversee upgrades to application databases for new releases

▪ Over 10 years of experience in Database Administration Activities including patching,
backup/recovery, maintenance, troubleshooting and database monitoring
▪ Over 3 years of experience working with AWS RDS databases mainly PostgreSQL, MS SQL,
Aurora and MySQL.
▪ Experience with migration to the cloud from on-prem. Hands-on with AWS Database
Migration Service (DMS) and Schema Conversion Tool (SCT)
▪ Strong knowledge in cloud migration ensuring minimal downtime and moving data from OnPrem DBs to RDS.
▪ Extensive experience with DevOps automation and infrastructure as code (Terraform or
CloudFormation) tools
