    Job Description

    The SMY Electrical Engineering Group in Timisoara has been established 20 years ago in Timisoara and the activities are covering the entire BA portfolio (Instrument Clusters, Body Control Units, Vehicle Control Units and Telematic products).

    Do you want to be a Group leader for Electrical Engineering? These should spark your interest:

    • Responsible to establish the structure and layers of communication within her / his group;
    • Communicates internally the group strategy to her / his group and tailors the communication depending on the auditorium;
    • Responsible to ensure that employees' competencies and skills inside the group are at the level required by the job;
    • Responsible to make sure that every employee of her / his group has tasks according to their qualification, competences and position;
    • Responsible to procure the technical equipment needed to complete the tasks for her / his group, in line with estimations and budget limits;
    • Develops sustainable business relationships within and outside the group/ location in order to enhance/ promote group competences;
    • Organizes her / his organization in line with the location and Business Unit strategy and guidelines;
    • Participates to the local BU budget planning and tracks the local BA budget for his / her group;
    • Involved and responsible to take appropriate measures in case of escalations related to projects in one's area of responsibility.

    • University degree in a relevant scientific or engineering field such as electrical engineering, electronics and telecommunications, electrotechnics or computer science;
    • More than 10 years of extensive experience in people management (Team size 20+);
    • Good knowledge of relevant technical topics (electronics, microelectronics, layouts, etc);
    • Excellent English skills (both written and spoken);
    • Determined, goal-oriented personality, collaborative and open-minded.
