ROLE PROFILE: Manager, DevOps ROLE SUMMARY: Technical manager, managing a team of developers as well as maintaining and developing applications and modules for the Analytics Technology Business within LSEG Trading and Banking Division. Focus on extending and modernizing existing services and application, leveraging cloud technologies to realize business objectives, support growth with improve performance and efficiency. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Managing a team of developers to develop innovative solutions to customer technology needs. Managing a team of developers in the Analytics DevOps team, you will be responsible for delivering automated testing, deployment and will work on CI/CD for applications deploying into Azure and AWS. Manage and configure all development and integration environments including tools like Jira, Asana, Confluence & Nexus, Git both on premise and in the cloud. Monitor the general health & automation of development environment using modern DevOps process and tools. Install, monitor, and maintain integration platforms across products and systems, Automate build, test, deployment, and monitoring across all Analytics systems on-prem and in the cloud. Maintaining, designing, and setting up infrastructure to support various applications. Maintaining and improving the existing compute infrastructure - performance, quality, and efficiency. Design, present and collaborate with other teams on designing technical solutions to realize complex business and technical objectives. Working experience with large scale data sources: relational or NoSQL. Migrating applications to cloud seamlessly so that there is no service disruption. Estimate timeline and resources for complex projects and collaborate with other teams to bring projects to the finish line. Establish credibility & build deep relationships with senior technical staff to generate common understanding and relate their challenges to development strategy. Working on products used by leading financial institutions world-wide. Strategic project involvement which will make a significant impact to the business bottom line. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 10+ years' work experience 5+ years' experience in technical teams/projects leadership role. 7+ years' experience working with Linux/Unix environments. Linux administration with good experience in shell scripting Experience with CI-CD pipelines and tools such as bitbucket, Asana, Gitlab, Jira, Jenkins Experience in automation, monitoring, and log management (i.e.: Datadog) Demonstrable SQL knowledge. Experience with containers, Anthos, Kubernetes, in addition to Azure and AWS cloud technologies Experience with Hashicorp suite (Packer, Terraform, Consul), and Helm charts. Experience with Ansible. PowerShell/Windows Administration. Working experience with Python or other high-level languages required. Good Communication, organization, and coordination skills. Proven experience working with global team - multi-site, multi time zone. Experience communicating with product teams, project stakeholders. Experience in a software development lifecycle and delivery role Experience building and deploying C/C++ services to cloud: K9S, Lambdas. KEY RELATIONSHIPS & ATTITUDE: Product Management and other key stakeholders Developers and Development Management Development teams that will consume/provide services & data. Engineers and support team. Articulate, energetic person able to work alone or as part of a team. Excellent attention to detail but an ability to think laterally to solve business problems. Ability to learn quickly. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Creative, results driven, self-motivated, and solutions oriented. Demonstrates a can-do attitude, exhibits self-confidence. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to liaise with business and technology colleagues. Experience of managing or influencing key decision makers. Able to establish credibility quickly. DESIRED SKILLS: Exposure to Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) and Gitlab, CVS/RCS Strong analytical background and quantitative skills and fixed Income Market is a plus. EDUCATION / CERTICATION: Bachelor's degree in computer science/Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields with high academic standing
