    Job Description

    The expert response team project manager in the area User Experience (UX) leads and manages a preventive installed support (initially) for project teams for global new product launches with multiple production locations in regard to all launch activities to achieve the project team objectives and targets.

    • With his focus on alignment of the global manufacturing setup he takes over and guides during an installed Task Force the local management, operations team, R&D team and project management team of achieving the project team objectives and targets;
    • The responsible tasks involve a high degree of variance and complexity with an application to numerous disciplines ("general management") and have a decisive influence on the success of the task force;
    • Overall responsibility for preventive implementations and lessons learned to secure the ramp up of new product launches within the business area UX;
    • During Task Force responsible for dedicated tasks to achieve the project team objectives and targets by leading and dealing with all additional functions: R&D team, operations team, project management team etc.;
    • Representation of the business area UX organization within the managed task force project, incl. reporting to business area UX CMT and the customer;
    • Projects with up to 4 bn EUR lifetime sales like Daimler MMA, Daimler MBEAM;
    • The area of responsibility is defined by multi-functional tasks:
      • Preventive actions to guide project teams and global new product launches:
        • Goal: Increasing of successful new product launches.
      • Taking over of project for defined Task Force activities (R&D, operations and/or project management):
        • Goal: Achieving of project team objectives and targets (PCIS).
    Qualifications

    • Bachelor degree in engineering or similar qualification;
    • Several years of experience in the automotive or consumer electronics industry in a variety of functions;
    • Several years as project manager or leadership experience in the area of project management or technical project management for a project of classification medium or higher;
    • Successful experience in another domain like operations, quality, R&D is required;
    • Experienced in leading an international team to drive project management for the business area;
    • Functional leadership of project managers for coaching and mentoring;
    • Fluent written and spoken English language skills;
    • Very good presentation skills to require decisions or conduct presentations to General Management;
    • Able to handle both strategic thinking and operational execution in effective and efficient ways.
