Power BI PMO

Working in the LSEG Desktop Workspace team who are supporting the exciting strategic partnership with Microsoft for the development of next-generation data, analytics and cloud infrastructure solutions. Our customers' needs are evolving and so are financial markets. This partnership will transform the way customers discover, analyse and trade securities around the world. It will also advance our cloud strategy and build the improved resilience, efficiency and agility that our customers need. All of Microsoft's customers will also have access to our data and analytics capabilities through a single flexible infrastructure that is intuitive and responsive.

As a BI Developer, you will play a crucial role in the Desktop organization by developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards that provide key insights into business performance. You will need to have a strong technical skillset, with expertise in Power BI, SQL development, ETL processes, and data integration methods. Responsibilities:

• Develop and support Power BI dashboards to provide key business insights and data visualisations.
• Proactively and continuously improve existing reporting by suggesting performance enhancements, automating processes, cleaning data sources, and implementing best practices.
• Generate ad-hoc reports as requested to address specific business questions or issues.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in BI development and Data Analytics.
• Excellent knowledge of Power BI (DAX/Measures). A Microsoft certification would be an advantage.
• Strong SQL development knowledge for creating dashboards based on SQL queries.
• Strong knowledge of ETL processes and data integration methods.
• Hands-on experience working with databases, ideally Snowflake DB.
• Hands-on experience with MS Power Automate and MS Access.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel, including LOOKUPs and Pivot tables.
• Ability to organize data from multiple sources and present summarized reports in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to generate ideas and adhere to deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
• Good command of both verbal and written English at B2 level or higher.

Would be a Plus:

• Understanding of REST API and JSON structure.
• Knowledge of SharePoint, JIRA, and Confluence.
