    Role Purpose

    Junior Risk Analyst will work on model governance across all LSEG models to provide uniform risk management. The incumbent will be exposed to different types of models, associated risks and help ensure a proper mitigation or removal

    Responsibilities

    • Develop good understanding of the risk management framework,
    • Employ the model validation procedures, implement, and support the required processes surrounding model validation work,
    • Upkeep the model inventory as a central, accurate and complete informational place for all the data associated to the model list and validation work; enhance the inventory functionalities as the model risk work adapts or expands,
    • Support model risk reporting functionality and updates for senior mgmt. and forums such as Exit Meetings, Working Groups, Model Risk Committee,
    • Coordinate with both governance leads and model validators on validation updates and issues mgmt.,
    • Help prepare senior management presentations concerning governance.

    Personal Qualities & Experience

    • Graduate (BsC) or Postgraduate degree (MSc/PhD) in Computer Science, Finance, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or similar background,
    • Technical background to allow understanding of the systems used in their entirety,
    • Strong soft skills including the ability to engage and get cooperation from senior staff,
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good attention to detail, proven writing skills,
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint),
    • A hacking and inquiring mindset approach to technology,
    • A self-starter with an interest in model governance, and keen to learn from others,
    • Nice to have knowledge of governance.
