    Qualifications

    • University degree in Computer Science, Automation, Electronics and Telecommunications, Informatics, Mathematics, Mechatronics or comparable;
    • At least 2 years of experience in similar position;
    • Experience with safety standards ISO26262 or IEC61508;
    • Experience in the application of systems (e.g. steering systems, axle systems, transmission systems, brakes etc.);
    • Technology experience (electronics, software, mechatronics,..);
    • Experience with customer communication;
    • Moderation/negotiation capability;
    • Excellent technical leadership, planning and organization skills
    • Ability to deeply understand technical concepts and cause-and-effect relationships;
    • Good communication and problem-solving skills;
    • English language at a good level is mandatory;
    • German language is considered an advantage.

    Job Description

    We are currently looking for a dedicated and energetic Safety Manager (SaM) to work within our team.

    As Safety Manager you will be responsible for the functional safety aspects, on E/E system level.

    The safety manager plans the safety work packages on system level and in cooperation with the component responsible (e.g. HWPL, SWPL), takes care that the item is developed according to the functional safety standard / ISO 26262. As a result, the safety manager, summarizes the safety work products in the safety case.

    In your role you will be responsible with:

    • Planning and coordination of the safety activities for Functional Safety ISO26262 related product development and maintenance;
    • Maintaining the safety plan and monitoring the progress of the safety activities against the safety plan;
    • Representing Bosch in customer negotiations regarding functional safety topics in acquisitions and in running projects;
    • Safety concept analysis and definition;
    • Conducting safety reviews, review product release for Functional Safety;
    • Planning of Safety assessments and audits, preparation of organization;
    • Contributing to developing a safety culture within the department.
