    Role description

    The Security and Fraud team is organized around portfolios, capability areas and capabilities. A capability area sits within a portfolio and is defined as a self-contained and logically grouped set of activities, systems, processes, people and other necessary resources deployed to accomplish a particular purpose and business outcome for instance, deployed to deliver a service across BHI brands. The Senior Manager - Privacy (DPCC) maintains accountability for delivering on key business outcomes linked to the Data Privacy Control Centre. 

    This role is a senior manager position with a level of Privacy Compliance, stakeholder, strategy and business development expertise that is required to drive the direction for shared privacy services, while leaving the execution of processes to the subject matter experts. This individual works on a global scale and will typically manage a multi-disciplined team and therefore, will be expected to demonstrate proficiency and be credible across a wide range of skills. 

    The Senior Manager - Privacy (DPCC) is responsible for providing advice and direction to the Business Units’ Leadership in regards to the design, implementation, management and monitoring of shared operational privacy  services,  procedures and guidelines, processing operations and risk mitigation strategies for the protection of personal data in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. This role is also responsible for translating policy into requirements that can be operationalized across the team(s) as well as to provide a comprehensive view of privacy risks across the supported brands based on all the sensitive data that the function processes.

    This is a Senior manager role who applies a professional discipline in the area of Privacy Compliance and service development, combining deep knowledge of theory and organizational practice or expertise across several different disciplines within a function or several different job areas across functions.

    The Senior Manager provides measurable input in defining the direction of new products, processes or operational plans for the Data Privacy Control Centre and adapts or enhances quality or value in existing methods across the shared service model.  This individual analyzes complex issues and modifies working methods in a broader work area. In addition, they convince others who are skeptical or unwilling to accept new concepts, practices and approaches. Comes to an agreement about issues that are tactical in nature.

    Responsibilities

    Role Qualifications and Requirements

    The Senior Manager - Privacy (DPCC),  will be responsible for service design and operations as it relates to privacy operational processes aligned with the BHI Privacy Program framework for their area
    Work with the Business Unit’s/BHI Brands leadership teams to improve the privacy and data protection posture of personal data by leading the design and implementation of core Privacy processes (e.g. Inventory maintenance, data subject handling and Privacy incident processes, data privacy controls) and ensure these are applied consistently across the company/group of companies
    Build trust and buy-in across the BHI brands for shared services, driving a consistent approach to privacy operations activities
    Drive the design, production and socialization of a tactical roadmap for shared privacy services
    Identify & drive initiatives effectively involving multiple stakeholders, re-prioritising tasks when beneficial 
    Design a plan and drive action to enable delivery of the yearly goals and objectives in line with the business plan
    Drive continuous improvements and operational efficiency in your capability, ensuring the appropriate resources and budget are applied to each topic and that the organization and people are set up to deliver
    Create a working environment that attracts, engages, develops people to their full potential and retains them. This includes ensuring all crafts are supported in their growth, through constant feedback, coaching and mentoring programs

    Monitors and enables updates on ‘business as usual’ privacy activities

    Provides measurable input in defining the direction of new products, processes or operational plans in the domain of Privacy Compliance with some impact on business unit results
    Apply a professional discipline in the area of Privacy Compliance combining deep knowledge of theory and organizational practice or expertise across several different disciplines within a function or several different job areas across functions
    Ensure control effectiveness is monitored within the capability and take action when needed
    Effectively manages an organization of one or more different crafts (e.g. engineers, analysts, product Managers) and/or external resources (incl. service providers) and any other role needed to deliver their capability to the brands
    Ensure incidents and crises are handled timely, effectively and appropriately within your area and impact is kept to a minimum
