Global System IT Administrator for Storage, Compute and Virtualization - IT (TM)

Job Description

As Global System IT Administrator in our Datacenter environment you will work in a team responsible for architecture, development, and support level 3 of our MIS*. You have the possibility to develop and implement own ideas, work on innovative projects and technologies, work independently within the specified framework and, thus, have a direct impact on the success of the future Automotive IT as well as Automotive business.

Basic responsibilities:

• Managing and supporting MIS* Systems & Service incl. Hardware (Chassis, Blades, Switches), Storage (Netapp), Virtualization (VMware, 3 vcenters), Central Management Software, monitoring tools;
• Administering and supporting MIS* Hardware HP & CISCO (Chassis/Blades/Switches), Netapp (FAS / AFF filers / ...);
• Execute change and incident management by following the internal service management rules (Follow the Sun support);
• Problem and escalation Management as well as support level 3 for all MIS* technology in an international environment;
• Troubleshooting and debugging of IT infrastructure DC problems and incidents;
• Driving continuous improvement for efficiency and effectiveness of IT services;
• Actively influence digital transformation and be a constant driver of technical innovations for the next MIS generations;
• Ensure necessary level of quality and compliance.

• Academic Degree (Computer Science, Business Informatics, Information Technology, or comparable study);
• Good experience within the field of Information Technology, preferable hands-on experience around Storage, Virtualization, Hardware; Current environment (VMware, Netapp, Cisco);
• ITIL Knowledge with respect to Incident and Change Management;
• Proactive and able to work independently or with minimal supervision;
• Experience in scripting (Powershell, Python, ...);
• Experience in Cloud technologies would be appreciated;
• Problem-solving capability, decisiveness and result-driven;
• A positive attitude and desire to make an impact on an organization;
• Planning and organizational skills, high level of dedication, flexibility, and independence;
• Communication and presentation skills and ability to work in a distributed, word-wide environment/team;
• Fluent in English (written and spoken);
• Willingness to travel (international and domestic).
