IP and Transmission Configuration Engineer

With these skills you are a great candidate:
• Knowledge and proven work experience in Microwaves / Switches / Routers / Physical Layer, Ethernet and IP protocols;
• Operating systems, databases, computer applications specific to telecommunications
• English written and spoken is mandatory
• Italian language is nice to have
• Preferably higher technical studies (e.g.: Electronics and telecommunications University, Automation and Computers University, Informatics University, etc.)
• Certifications from vendors of computer systems for telecommunications (Cisco, Oracle, HP, IBM, Ericsson, Huawei, Nokia, Alcatel, etc.) are desirable

Your day to day:
• Configure IP and transmission equipment (access routers, microwaves) and services on Vodafone network
• Update the database with the new configuration provided and inform the interested departments about the status of the work orders
• Implement the required configuration successfully within the standards and guidelines, on the expected date, to meet the quality and time requirements of projects
• Identify, develop, test and implement solutions to resolve deficiencies or for enhancement of network’s software and hardware, at customer’s request
• You have a proactive approach and demonstrate good collaboration within the team

• Implementation of new solutions and functionalities for IP and transmission
• Configuration, integration and optimization of IP and transmission access network and database in accordance with the defined quality criteria and following in place guidelines
• Identifies dysfunctionalities, provides solutions and tests hardware and software configuration
