Qualifications & Competencies:

• Degree in Information Technology or equivalent and at least 3 months of experience in software testing, internship or equivalent courses completed.
• Good command of English both spoken and written
• Basic knowledge about testing of mobile native applications and/or web-based applications.
• Problem solving oriented, analytical thinking
• Basics of test case management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, HP ALM)
• Basic knowledge about the Software Development Life Cycle
• Basic knowledge about functional and nonfunctional testing, API testing of web services

Nice to have:

• Good understanding about Test Plan and Software Testing Life Cycle
• Basic understanding of Waterfall & Agile projects
• Knowledge of banking business with focus on Digital Channels (Internet & Mobile Banking) domain

What will you be doing in this role?

• Analysis and interpretation of business / functional specification, carrying out response activities in terms of test cases design & execution
• Creation and management of test plans, test cases and test results
• Ensure defects are clearly and concisely documented, contributes to the overall quality of test deliverables
• Interfaces with other teams such as Business Analysts, Developers, PMs etc.
• Responsible for testing activities within the team
• Designs, reviews and maintains comprehensive test cases and test conditions that would ensure adequate test coverage, for both functional and non-functional testing
• Test data preparation and maintenance
• Ensure proactive and effective testing status reporting, highlighting the encountered blockers
