Internship for Administration Vehicle Support - SMY (TM)

Job Description

For our Engineering Location Timisoara/Freidorf we search for dynamic and motivated people to join our SMART MOBILITY department.

The specialists in our Interior Division work passionately to keep drivers and passengers informed of their vehicles' status - and in touch with the world outside - at all times. They develop and produce a wide range of intelligent, user-friendly products for private and commercial vehicles (factory and after sales markets), including instruments and displays, cockpit modules, audio and navigation devices, multimedia and telematics solutions, and control, steering and access protection systems.

We develop and yields products that make commercial and special vehicles safer, cleaner, and more fuel-efficient. Thus Commercial Vehicle and Aftermarket has been able to establish itself as a market and technology leader. From trucks to busses, cranes, on-site and agricultural vehicles, the business unit provides control systems for drive and onboard electronics, tachographs and instrument clusters.

The Vehicle Support Team is responsible for the test vehicles and the test equipment, including complete build-ups and small to big modifications of the test setups on the vehicles. We`re also responsible for e.g. the technical and administrational documentation, ensuring maintenance and service of the vehicles and equipment, the relationship with the authorities, test tracks, etc., supporting vehicle tests on public roads and test tracks.

As a Internship for Administration Vehicle Support, you'll be involved in:

• Administration of test vehicles and equipment, including responsibility of keeping our tools and databases up to date
• Support in the preparation of the vehicles test session (e.g. booking of the test track, obtain authorization needed for testing on the public road)
• Ordering components, materials and equipment for project needs by keeping the contact with the Purchasing department, tracking the orders and informing the team about the delivery status
• Collaboration with our external suppliers
• Administration of the low value assets in a team

A mentor will support you to stepwise take over own responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes and organization.

• Knowledge in vehicles (at least basic level);
• Knowledge in technical documents and administrative paperwork (at least basic level);
• Drivers License B (C would be an advantage);
• Knowledge in using PC, working with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and keen to learn and use new (internal) tools.
• English (at least B1 level) and German (advantage);
• Self organized initiative, communication and team skills.
