Who you are: 

• You have a university or technical college degree in mechanics, mechatronics, electronics, or comparable engineering 

• Working knowledge of analog and digital circuits 

• Appreciation of powertrain system, mechanical and software topics and how they may interact with the electronics hardware  

• Ability to solve problems analytically, creatively and collaboratively 

• Analytical and precise way of working, empathic personality with clear goals and entrepreneurial mindset, very good communication skills 

We would also appreciate: 

• If you are willing to travel (typically less than 10%) 

You would be a perfect match to our team if: 

• 1+ years of professional experience with system or functional safety (any of the following ISO26262, DO178c, IEC 61508, STAMP, MIL-STD-882) 

• Experience with safety analysis techniques such as Failure mode and Effect analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Failure Mode, Effects and Diagnostics Analysis (FMEDA) and Dependent Failure Analysis (DFA) is an advantage 

The languages you should know: 

• English - proficiency level is mandatory 

• German - it is not mandatory, but it is an advantage

If you join our team, your contribution will be: 

• Champion the topic, ensuring continual learning/development and knowledge sharing within the department to achieve the highest possible performance of the local Electronics Hardware development team with respect to functional safety. 

• Take on the role of local expert and support local teams with functional safety challenges, including providing mentoring/guidance as required. 

• Where the topics are more critical, take the lead on the safety topics  

• Interface to the global development network and network of functional safety champions/lead/project managers 

• Develop, coordinate, and deliver functional safety services to projects in the wider international development network.
