Software Engineer for Mobile Applications A SCT TM

Job Description

We are looking for a Software Engineer with focus on mobile apps for our cross-functional team
consisting of mobile app, web and cloud developers to achieve goals that contribute to the growth of our organization. As a Software Engineer you will work on different internal and external customer projects.
We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.
With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance our software solutions. As a Software Engineer working on mobile applications, you'll drive new innovations and build beautiful user experiences. You'll work with mobile, web and cloud developers and resources to drive the next-generation of apps at Continental.

• Implement new features for our mobile apps in the automotive context with writing product or system and related test code.
• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
• Contribute to existing documentation and adapt content based on product updates.

As a Software Developer, you need knowledge and experience as follow:

• Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or Informatics
• Experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, Kotlin, Swift, Dart, JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Experience with mobile app frameworks, SDKs for Android and/or iOS, RESTful webservices.
• Experience with data structures or algorithms.
• Experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and with software design and architecture.
• Passion and motivation to build professional and high-quality software.
• Fluent communication skills (spoken and written) in English.
