Support Test Engineer

HARMAN designs and engineers ​connected products and solutions for automakers, consumers, and enterprises worldwide, including connected car systems, audio and visual products, enterprise automation solutions, and connected services.

What You Need

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other similar specialization
1+ years lab operations experience
Have a good understanding of the technical aspects of a wide range of equipment, including computers, software, and hardware.
Be proficient in one or more programming languages to install, configure, and maintain software and hardware such as Python, Bash or PowerShell.
Familiar with Jira, Confluence, MS Office, and database administration
Familiar with revision control systems (eg git for check-in/check-out).
Familiarity with computer networking for setting up and maintaining network connections in the laboratory and should have a good understanding of computer networking principles and protocols.
Have a good understanding of electrical safety protocols to properly maintain and repair equipment and ensure the safety of laboratory staff.
Familiarity with industry-specific equipment: have familiarity with specialized equipment and systems specific to automotive industry, such as CAN, LIN, ECUs, etc. and infotainment systems: PCIe, UART, TDM, Video-, I2C, I2S, USB (appreciated)
Familiarity with regulatory guidelines: A cube support engineer should be aware of relevant regulatory guidelines and standards and should ensure that the laboratory follows these guidelines.
What is Nice to Have

Strong technical skills: have a good understanding of a variety of laboratory equipment and systems, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and repair issues that may arise.
Problem-solving skills: a cube support engineer may encounter a variety of challenges in their work and should be able to think critically and creatively to find solutions.
Communication skills: you may need to interact with a diverse group of individuals, including other engineers, developers or other support staff. Strong communication skills will be important to effectively convey technical information and work collaboratively with others.
Organizational skills: you may be responsible for managing multiple tasks and projects at once and should be able to prioritize and stay organized to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
Customer service skills: you may be called upon to assist other staff members with technical issues and should be able to provide prompt and helpful service to keep the laboratory running smoothly.
Knowledge of quality standards and regulations
System Testing is a plus

What You Will Do

Provide technical support and maintenance for laboratory equipment and systems.
Set up and configure equipment for new projects.
Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions or issues with equipment.
Install and upgrade software and hardware as needed.
Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
Train and assist other staff members in the use of laboratory equipment.
Work closely with other engineers to ensure that equipment is functioning properly and efficiently.
Identify and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
Participate in continuous learning and professional development opportunities to stay up to date on new technologies and techniques in the field.
