Sustainability Engineer

Requirements:
Environmental Engineering or Constructions/Built Environment studies;
Excellent command of English;
Relevant practical experience in a similar role, either through an industry placement or since graduation (nice to have);
Knowledge of building physics, particularly in relation to heat transfer, energy, and natural ventilation;
Knowledge of dynamic simulation and other analysis tools will be considered an advantage;
Excellent communication skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential;
A real interest in sustainability, and a desire to further their career in a specialist sustainability role.

For our client, a multinational company in engineering consultancy we are looking for a Sustainability & BREEAM Engineer.


Responsibilities:
Assessing the impact of buildings on the environment from the perspective of several environmental criteria, such as ecological, pollution, water consumption, the energy efficiency of heating/cooling and electrical systems of the building, the health of its occupants, using various schemes globally applicable certification requirements, such as BREEAM / WELL / LEED / Code for Sustainable Homes / Fitwel;
Verifying architecture and engineering documents in order to establish the future construction can be BREEAM/LEED-certified;
Preparation of the necessary documentation in order to send it to the competent authority for obtaining the certificate desired by the client;
Performing calculations following a standard assessment procedure obtaining Energy Performance Certificates of residential buildings in the UK.
