TypeScript/NodeJS Lead Developer

Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a JavaScript/TypeScript Lead Developer to join our fast paced and diverse team within the London Stock Exchange Group Technology Hub in Bucharest.

Technical requirements:

• At least 5 years previous experience in Full Stack, modern Desktop/Web technologies
• Solid experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js
• Experience in API design (REST, GraphQL)
• Familiar with network protocols: WebSocket, Socket, https
• Good knowledge of low/high level design
• Experience in software development methodologies and Agile based delivery
• Good communication skill
• Good problem solving & keen analytical skill

Preferably/Nice to have:

• Experience in CI/CD in Cloud such as Azure, AWS or GCP

Key responsibilities for this role are:

• To act as a lead contributor for technical solutions within an agile team
• To complete the design of applications and performing code analysis and overall improvement of style and usability
• To deliver optimized and scalable solutions ensuring ongoing support requirements are minimized
• Identifies and implements improvements to code
• Contribute to the architecture and design solutions considering various aspects like extensibility, scalability, performance, security, design patterns, user experience, NFRs, etc, and ensure that all relevant best practices are followed
• Develop a deep understanding of our users, their needs, behaviours, desires, and bring that insight into the heart of all aspects of project work
• Builds technical documentation for reference and reporting
• To translate business requirements into actual technical solutions and document system features / functionalities
• Communicate optimally with project collaborators to report on progress against agreed deliverables and escalate any critical issues/blockers
