SKILLS and ABILITIES needed

• Proven customer and technology awareness in the food, FMCG or Batteries industries
• Ability to explain design ideas and plans clearly
• Ability to work within tight deadlines
• Time management and multitasking- must be able to multi-task assignments while being conscious of the deadlines set by the customer (will be required to handle several RFQs at one time)
• Innovative, open-minded and independent
• Good negotiation and presentation skills
• Organizational and communication skills, willingness to succeed, willingness to innovate
• Dedicated team player
• Strong problem-solving skills
• High level of assertiveness
• Fluent English (written and oral)

KNOWLEDGE

• In-depth process knowledge in robotics / process automation and material flow processes, e.g. in the food, FMCG or Batteries industries
• Product and process knowledge in production logistics
• Ability to create and read technical drawings
• Basic knowledge of project management techniques
• Customer awareness
• Knowledge of calculation and amortization calculation
• Knowledge of the EC Machinery Directive
• Knowledge of Inventor / AutoCAD and CRM systems
• SAP knowledge
• Cost estimate and Pay-off calculation

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• Education background: mechanical engineer (or electrical engineering, mechatronics)
• About 5 years of professional experience
• Project management (2 years experience)

The task of the mechatronics application engineer is the planning and development of technical solutions and concepts based on customer-specific requirements and budget requirements for FMCG customers.

The position will be located in Romania, but will provide technical services to all Rexroth locations globally and requires availability for international travel to customer sites.

MAIN TASKS

• On the basis of specific client requirements, elaborate on the offer, evaluating whether it can be applied to the adequate technical solutions or if it has to be declined for technical reasons
• Support of sales and application engineers in the preparation of offers for complex systems
• Elaboration of technical proposals through system layout engineering and cost calculation of the required components or modules
• Obtaining quotations from external suppliers and evaluating cost estimates
• Technical support of other company departments for the respective segment / product lines in their own area of responsibility
• Cooperation with sales engineers in the event of problems related to assembly or customer complaints
• Development of the market and sales of new product lines / segments in your own area of responsibility, whereby you act as a local interface to the central functions in the company
• Support Business Units for quotations of complex systems or when the collection of more technical information or further details is necessary
• Attend Technical meetings.
