Job Description:

The QA Automation Engineer will work from our Bucharest office locations while collaborating with the Global MassMutual teams and provide support in the technical area. The person who will join this role will report to a local IT Delivery Manager.

The ideal candidate in the role of QA Automation Engineer is a hands-on tester, who would be able to work independently or work in a team of other application Architects/Engineers/various project stakeholders.  

The individual will be responsible for all aspects of test engineering. This will include working closely with software engineers to create solid core designs and enable testability of the product. 

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze system specifications
• Collaborate with engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans
• Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
• Evaluate product code according to specifications
• Create logs to document testing phases and defects
• Report bugs and errors to development teams
• Help troubleshoot issues
• Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle

Requirements:

Technical skills: 

• +3 years experience with different test automation tools
• Quality assurance experience in agile and classic process models
• Experience monitoring and reporting of the test progress
• Preparation of test documentation and presentation of test results 
• Independent consulting of our customer referring suitable quality assurance measures

Competencies:

• Learner – shouldn’t be shy to learn any new technology or even code if needed
• Solid communication skills – be able to partner directly with developers and BA in the team 
• Agile mindset – be able to think how we can transition the team to shift left. A mindset of quality owned by the team
• Critical Thinking – ability to dive into a problem, dig in to help SDETs and then pull up as needed.
