Here’s a sneak peak of what our colleagues say about working within ING Hubs Romania: At ING, we embrace our tech side | 81% of our IT colleagues agree The Mission Following the Agile Scrum methodology, you will be responsible to develop, deliver and improve the global payment solutions and features for ING Netherlands & Belgium, with our future goals being to build a true unified global experience for our customers. We are a team of 10 engineers (named Tigers Team) responsible of developing functionalities from product requirements to development, testing and deployment, using the following technologies: Java 11, Spring Boot on the backend, frontend side: Web components based on litElement, and for the CI/CD: Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Openshift, Docker. Your day to day Even if you’ll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office’s garden, your day will be quite similar when comes to tasks. Here are your daily responsibilities:

    • Writing well designed testable, efficient code in Java 11 and all its features
    • Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance
    • Translating functional analysis into technical analysis and development, together with the parties involved
    • Advice and code reviews
    • Contribute together with the rest of the team to continuous improvements of the development process
    • Actively involved in the architectural design of the microservices
    • Investigate and give resolutions for defects (in test, acceptance or production environments)
    • Create and/or release documents to support the deployments and the software after the release
    • Follow risk management processes in order to be in control of the application on topics such as Security Standards, Capacity Management, Change and Incident Management
    What you’ll bring to the team Experience: at least 2.5 years of experience as a java software developer Tech stack/ knowledge:
    • Mandatory:
      • Java EE, Spring, SpringBoot, RESTful APIs
      • Cassandra, Oracle, other DB technologies
      • Familiar with CI & CD (Azure DevOps or similar)
      • Experience with microservice architectures
      • Experience with IT Security concepts
    • Nice to have:
      • Kotlin and/or other JVM languages
      • Kafka, Tomcat, Checkmarx
      • Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift, Azure DevOps
      • Financial application development, network components and infrastructure
      • Experience with Agile methodology
    Foreign languages: English (advanced) Education: nice to have Bachelor degree in Computer Science and/or Informatics What’s in it for you
