Job Purpose and Impact
The Senior Merchant will handle a supplier base and fulfill transactions delivering commodities that meet production requirements and specifications in terms of timing, volume, quantity and cost. In this role, you will buy and sell commodities from and to country elevators, producers, feed mills and processors.

Key Accountabilities

• Handle proteins sales book in the Black Sea region and execute the marketing strategy on domestic feed market on proteins
• Manage and develop close relationships with feed and food clients having a deep understanding of customer strategies and behavior in order to design and execute a customer solutions strategy
• Improve volumes, margins and provide meaningful market data to the group and team. Manage inherent risk of the distribution web
• Accountable for reaching the budgeted results for the respective product
• Daily positions and daily profitability analysis
• Responsible for accurate P&L reporting to hub and P&L estimates reconciliation with finance department
• Pipeline management and planning, seek to have as small stocks as possible with no delivery interruptions
• Lead the distribution, ensure smooth logistics and stock
• Support local administrative flow on Short term debt, Forex, market exposure on own products, legal
• Assuming a leader role and attitude, whilst acting as a mentor to the younger team members

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in commodity trading
• Proficient in English and Romanian language
• Broad understanding of commercial roles
• Analytical skills and able to make quick decisions
• Results oriented, ability to tackle risks
• Strong negotiations skills
• MS Office Suite (good level of Excel in particular)

Preferred Qualifications

• Sound risk management knowledge and P&L knowledge
• Strong product knowledge of the various components of possible customer solutions for clients
