    Key Responsibilities

    To carry out the following key tasks as Tableau Server Developer within the CMDF BI Development team:

    • Work closely with Devops Team and Cloud Architects to ensure optimal functioning of the Tableau platform

    • Responsible for delivering technical documents such as Technical Designs, Specifications, Users Guides and Solution Architecture Documentation.

    • Identify processes that would benefit from automation to improve operational efficiency.

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience required

    • Strong knowledge and experience with Tableau products (Server & Desktop) with strong understanding of Tableau architecture and administration preferably on AWS & Linux environments.

    • Experience working as Tableau server administrator, configuring, and administering Tableau server.

    • Experience in Tableau platform sizing, troubleshooting and performance tuning in multi node Tableau cluster.

    • Experience with Tableau server security with SSL and SAML authentication methods

    • Understanding of Tableau server licensing and permissions set up for users & groups.

    • Good Knowledge of Tableau Postgres database to monitor server activity & usage to identify possible issues/enhancements

    • Experience working with relational databases i.e .Oracle PL/SQL or MS SQL Server T-SQL, Snowflake

    • Any experience with Tableau Server API's (REST, Document, Metadata or Hyper) is a bonus not essential.

    • Strong analytical skills and problem solving (Requirements analysis, documentation, specification, testing)

    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Visio

    • Proven assistance in the design and architecture of system and scenarios

    • Excellent communication skills and engagement with Stakeholders (Business and Technical); both written and verbal.

    • Agile, Waterfall and full SDLC experience

    • Extensive use of Jira/Scrum/Kanban in an Agile environment
