With these skills, you are a great candidate:
• Solid knowledge and proven work experience in GSM/UMTS/LTE
• Operating systems, databases, IT applications specific to mobile and fixed telecommunications.
• Technologies:Ericsson, Huawei, Netscout, VMWare, Redhat, Solaris
• Preferably higher technical studies (eg:Electronics and Telecommunications, Automation and Computers, Informatics, etc.)
• Certifications from vendors of IT systems intended for fixed and mobile telecommunications (Cisco, Oracle, HP, IBM, Ericsson, Huawei, Nokia, Alcatel, etc.) are desirable.
• English (spoken and written).

Your day to day:
Provides specific 2nd Line technical services related to live IT systems of other telecommunications operators (Vodafone OpCos, JVs, etc.). Ensures the development, implementation, modification, testing and harmonization of the software and hardware solutions of the computer systems as well as of the existing telecom applications in the operators' networks, in order to fulfill the quality and response time requirements of the projects.

At the request of the clients (Vodafone OpCos), identifies, develops and implements solutions to solve the deficiencies of high complexity software and hardware in the respective networks. The solutions provided involve changes in the existing software systems or the implementation of new components to improve and develop the functionalities of the current systems.

• Performs activities that combine analytical skills with adequate knowledge of software and hardware technology, in order to develop, test, implement and modify IT systems containing telecommunications, mobile and fixed software applications.
• Implementation of new software solutions and functionalities
• Fixing software and hardware deficiencies
• Evaluation and optimization of software and hardware performance of IT systems
• Development and design of customized software solutions, applications within a defined framework and in accordance with the requirements of telecom operators
• Adaptation of software packages using specific machine code type programming languages for equipment in order to stabilize and optimize the clients' telecommunications networks
• Configuration, integration and optimization of network software parameters in accordance with the defined quality criteria, using languages and programming methods specific to telecom applications
• Investigating and solving highly complex technical problems received from the 1st Line, COPS, SAC sub-departments using programming languages and methods and "software debugging" specific to telecom applications, providing final remedial solutions.
• Testing software packages/applications on the test environment in order to identify and remedy malfunctions, followed by implementation on the production environment.
• Emergency remediation through software or hardware reconfiguration of telecom network elements through specific telecom programming methods.
• Evaluating and optimizing the performance of telecom systems by checking and modifying the software and hardware parameters of the operators' live applications.
