    Qualifications

    • University degree in Mechanical engineering, mechatronics or a similar field of study;
    • At least 2 years experience in Product engineering;
    • At least 1 year experience dealing with geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing;
    • At least 1 year of experience with CAD-based design tools;
    • Good understanding of the design rules for plastic;
    • Knowledge about tolerance calculations, manufacturing technologies (i.e. injection, SMT) and the inter-connection of different mechanical parts (i.e. connectors);
    • Eager to work with the newest e-mobility challenges , understand complex systems and shape the behavior of the future mobility products;
    • Proactive and you adapt easily to new development environment, but don't worry, we will be there every step of the way, supporting each other;
    • Self-motivated and take ownership of your tasks and projects;
    • Team player and offering and receiving feedback comes naturally;
    • Not afraid to think outside the box and try to find creative approaches to your challenges;
    • English - a good level is mandatory.

    Nice to have:

    • Experience with CREO;
    • Willing to travel;
    • German - it is not mandatory, but it is an advantage.

    Job Description

    We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to work within our product group for eBike. Our group focus is on developing the printed circuit board considering both hardware and mechanic domains.

    In your role your responsibilities are:

    • Analyze requirements (environmental conditions, installation, material, manufacturing, life-time) related to the mechanical design of the PCB;
    • Develop PCBs from a mechanical perspective - design of a new or change an existing one by taking into account all technical and assembly requirements as well as manufacturing technologies and cost aspects;
    • Actively cooperate with Bosch experts to improve our products (i.e. components soldering, coating quality);
    • Lead actively technical discussions with supplier and capability evaluation for components in own responsibility as part of the purchasing process;
    • Support the launch of the product in series production and after start of production;
    • Prepare all documentation related to the mechanical design as required by the engineering process;
    • Evaluate the technical risk for the components in your responsibility and identify+implement solutions to eliminate or reduce the risk impact or the probability (DFMEA approach);
    • Support the sample built in different stages of the product development;
