    About the FXI CMDF teamCapital Markets Data Factory (CMDF) is a cloud-based data warehouse used for Billing, Regulatory Reporting and Customer Analytics.The FX team uses the CMDF to manage data from the new Foreign Exchange trading venues being built as part of FXI, the project within LSEG to re-platform all the Refinitiv FX trading venues.The FX CMDF team covers a Technical Architect, Business Analysts, a DWH team, a BI team and an Application Development Team.CMDF is being built from scratch, and most of the fast-growing team have joined LSEG fairly recently. Working in the team provides an opportunity to work in a near greenfield project with cloud-based technology, and to learn in detail how a foreign exchange market operates.Job OverviewWe are looking for a Data Warehouse Developer with an understanding of cloud and data warehouse technologies. The candidate will be working closely with the business, architect, and BAs to define solutions for the following key capabilities for FX markets:

    • Data landing from trading systems.
    • Billing calculation and management.
    • Regulation requirements
    • Customer and internal reporting and analytics.
    The DWH development team, a QA team and a Project Manager for the FX CMDF project are based in Bucharest.The role reports to the DWH development team leader, also based in Bucharest.Responsibilities
    • Development and maintenance of the data warehouse and related data transformation.
    • Work with Business Analysts, Java Developers, End Users, Devops, BI developers and QA teams when appropriate.
    • Deliver technical documents such as Technical Designs, Specifications, Users Guides.
    • Design, Development and maintenance of Data Warehouse storage and transformation using Snowflake and Matillion.
    • Take shared responsibility for all database support, development and administrative work to:
      • Provide FX Data warehouse functionalities (Snowflake)
      • Use ETL (Matillion)
      • Develop and maintain SQL code on Snowflake
      • Develop and maintain good coding standards.
      • Develop and extend database functionality to support current and future business needs
      • Maintain and manage data feeds and work with business users to improve data flow into and out of the Data Warehouse
      • Create improvements in existing code and systems to improve efficiencies
      • Provide daily support to business functions.
      • Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.
    Required Skills
    • A minimum of 3 year's design, performance tuning, development and experience with data warehouse and ETL technology (Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake etc)
    • Oracle - SQL, PL/SQL - min 3 years experience
    • ETL Tool (any tool) - min 2 years experience
    • DWH (concepts , implementation) - min 2 years experience
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Exposure to the whole development life cycle: design, development, testing.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with other team members, QA teams and internal business stakeholders.
    Desirable skills
    • Experience of cloud database and ETL technologies such as Snowflake or Matillion.
    • Experience with agile development methodologies including Kanban and Scrum and full SDLC experience
    • Experience with source control management systems, continuous integration/deployment environments, and release management.
