    A Snapshot of Your Day:

    In our HVDC Control Team, we are designing, implementing and verifying the hardware and software for innovative HVDC applications using lean and agile methods. Our diverse and multinational teams are working closely together with project management, system and equipment engineering as well as with end customers to provide customized solutions based on the latest innovations in HVDC technology.

    How you will make an Impact:

    • Planning, execution, and evaluation of Factory Acceptance Tests at sub-suppliers/ manufacturer's workshops.
    • Integration test and functional tests of the entire HVDC control system (C&P hardware and software) in our test center at the Head Quarter.
    • Technically flawless, on-time and economical execution of the commissioning of HVDC systems on site.
    • Preparation of test procedures for the functional testing of the control and protection systems (C&P) as well as the associated primary components and secondary systems/ interfaces including preparation of required documentation/ protocols and revision of drawings.
    • Support of the commissioning management in work safety, quality, risk and claim management.
    • Participation in improvement programs (e.g. Lean, Reviews and Lessons Learned).

    What you Bring:

    • Completed studies in electrical engineering, energy technology or comparable training/qualification.
    • Good knowledge in one or more of the following areas: project planning and testing via programming platforms (MATLAB/SIMULINK, Siemens SIMATIC TDC/S7, CFC, grid protection systems/protection relays & bay control units (DIGSI / Siprotec V4/5).
    • Experience in the field of HVDC systems (open-loop and closed-loop control, measurement, protection, and communication systems) desirable.
    • Good knowledge in power converter technology and high-voltage switchgear/ transmission technology.
    • English language skills, further language skills, especially German, are very welcome.
    • Willingness for worldwide business trips and mainly long-term assignments on construction sites in Germany and abroad as well as optional deployments on offshore platforms.
