Senior Hardware Design Engineer

Qualifications:

Bachelor / Master of Science Degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited College or University. Preferred specializations: Automation and Computers, Informatics, Mathematics, Electronics.
Appropriate technical qualification for role.
Six Sigma Certification preferred.
3-5 years project experience as Project Engr II
Minimum 7 years of relevant project experience
Experience on minimum 3 relevant projects as Project Lead / Stream Lead / Project Responsible.
Relevant site hand-on experience on System, DCS and / or SIS – minimum 3 sites.
Relevant customer interfacing experience.

We have an opportunity for a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join our Performance Materials and Technologies team in Bucharest, Romania.
Responsibilities:

Ensures that required prerequisites (e.g. design inputs, tools, documentation, deliverables, schedule and budget) are in place prior to commencing work.
Creates the Functional Design Specifications (FDS).
Creates the Detailed Design Specifications (DDS).
Creates the FAT, SAT procedures and Operator manuals.
Executes work assignment at the appropriate standards and quality:
Hardware: DCS, SIS, marshalling, PLC, Server, Network, System cabinet drawings, I/O allocation, System Architecture, Power and Heat calculation, loop drawings, etc.
Participates to Kick Off Meetings, internal FATs, FATs, SATs, Commissioning and start-up.
Effectively communicates with customers to fully define and agree project requirements.
The responsibility includes the coordination of teams of engineers on projects.
The engineer makes sure the scope and schedule are monitored and met.
Proactively recommends potential quality and efficiency improvements within the engineering group.
Shares technical knowledge with project team, supervisor, own discipline and other engineering disciplines.
Reports progress and technical problems and / or changes to project lead engineer or Project Manager.
