    Minimum Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent relevant courses
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or other equivalent Tax Certification (i.e., CTA, CMI, etc)
    • 3-4 years of relevant professional experience in Finance or Accounting
    • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office tools
    • Working knowledge and understanding of accounting standards and procedures and internal controls.
    • Experience working with ERP, e.i., Oracle and Blackline Systems is an advantage, but is not required.
    • Understanding in Tax Research

    Responsabilitati

    Responsibilities & Duties
    • Support the AMER Regional Tax Department
    • Prepare and analyse Canadian Indirect tax filings (HST, QST, PST and Withholding Taxes)
    • Prepare AMER monthly estimated tax payment files, coordinate, and track tax payments and provide to AMER Tax Director
    • Maintain monthly tax payment schedule and provide weekly metrics
    • Provide support for tax audits ensuring requested information is provided on a timely basis and supporting any gaps or findings.
    • Assist the AMER tax team with research and investigations and solve problems based on standards and procedures while handling multiple assignments
    • Support on performing special projects as assigned
    • Proactive identification of process improvement opportunities and Support selected simple process improvement initiatives to streamline processes.
    • Escalate and analyse identified issues and concerns to the Team Lead for timely resolution.
    • Maintain the SOP/DTP of current processes and incorporate documentation updates as required.
    • Perform simple but varied tasks in compliance with service level agreement, process, policies, and procedures.
    • Assess identified issues and collate documentation to assist in investigating and in resolving common and recurring issues.
    • Time expectation for each sub-region 25% CAN, 50% US, and 25% LATAM
