Autodesk is seeking a civil engineering professional to be part of the team developing our flagship BIM solution. If you have a passion for IT, and a desire to help build the software used by engineers and detailers worldwide, join our Software Quality Assurance team and bring your experience in the industry, likely using Autodesk software, to test and improve our products.
As a key member of a small and autonomous scrum team, you will work closely with the developers, designers and product owner to evolve the Revit platform and help our customers build the next iconic projects.
Analyze user stories and specifications to create test cases for new features, supplement and improve existing testing where applicable
Executes tests to find defects in features. Isolate and confirm defects and work with developers to prioritize and verify the fix
Validate the behaviour of software on a variety of operating systems and hardware
Log defects in JIRA for tracking and reporting
Record and maintain automatic regression tests (using Revit's internal test automation framework)
Provide measurements of software quality and reliability to the product leadership
Simulate user experience for the developed product features
Organize and participate in production exercises
Monitor customer newsgroups and beta forums to detect defects in production software
Participate in release, Alpha and Beta testing activities
Participate in the task estimation process
Work with the scrum team to proactively recognize and prevent issues from occurring
Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline
Experience working with BIM and/or CAD software for Windows
Clear verbal and written English communication skills
Good interpersonal skills. Works well in a team environment
Strong technical troubleshooting skills
Methodical and attentive to detail
Strong critical thinking and analytical abilities
Good planning, organization and time management skills
Working knowledge of standard business tools: Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel
Solid understanding of quality assurance principles & practices, particularly within an agile software development environment
Basic understanding of programming
